giggles

Last weekend I was feeling a little under the weather (ok, a LOT!), so Mary Beth was entertaining me as I rested. She is such a performer - and was singing to herself and the mirror. Here's her version of ABCs and Twinkle Twinkle. She sings it all the time but must have gotten stagefright with the camera on. I'll forgive her - but only because those giggles are so darn cute!!!

almost 25 weeks but...

...looking bigger than (or even with) 34 weeks with Mary Beth. That CAN'T be a good sign of what's to come! Pictures below. And in an ironic move, I'm wearing the same shirt in the photos three years apart. Proof that even the belly can fit in the Gamma Chi Delta Alumnae Association Charter Member shirt (woo woo!)

So first is me now:

Lovely. And now a blast from early 2009. Coincidentally we were at the golf course/hotel where Bob was about to get transferred. You know, because moving one month before giving birth is always ideal...

This is going to get interesting...

keeping it together?

We've been so busy lately (OK, Bob has been really busy and I've been trying to relax on the bed when I get home from work...) that we've been slacking on the whole babies' bump photo realm.

But seriously, it's getting out of hand. I understand Mom not wanting pictures taken now. I'm H.U.G.E. and growing more every day. Did I mention that we're aiming for a due date THREE MONTHS FROM TOMORROW?? Oh lawd...

Anyway, here's a picture from this morning here in the office. You can see part of the bump. and the tips of my shoes. Which I'm glad YOU can see because I can't see them unless I lean over. A lot. I had a panic attack this morning that I left the house this morning with shoes that didn't match each other. But apparently I have it more together than I think I do sometimes.

And yes, that's a Diet Coke on my desk. And if you try to take it from me I will cut you.  :-)

happy birthday, mary beth!

Dear Mary Beth,

Today you turn 3 years old. I can't believe this is possible! It seems like just yesterday we were on our way to the hospital to welcome you into this world. And you were SO TINY at 5 pounds, 9 ounces. But you were only tiny in weight -- your personality shined through your smiles (and screams) right away.

You're so inquisitive now, and definitely have earned the title Miss Independent. You want to do EVERYTHING on your own, from turning on light switches to opening your cheese sticks. You LOVE going to get ice cream (which some day when you're way older we may tell you is actually frozen yogurt) and Auntie Kim and Nana are your favorite people in the world. Outside of Mommy and Daddy, of course...

Your life is going to change so much soon with the arrival of your brother and sister. Right now you're super excited, but we'll see if that changes once you hear them crying and taking all of our attention! We promise that we will try our best to carve out Mary Beth time when we can continue to jump on the bed, tickle each other and run off to have "Chick-il-a" time together. And we'll still take your names of Pinkaliscious and Rhonda as considerations for their names, but I'm not promising anything...

Thank you for being such a sunshine to our lives. YOU ROCK!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy
